The Thrive Learning Coaching Program for Youth and Educators

Empowering educators, youth and communities with mindfulness and conscious coaching practices for personal development and social change.

In today's world, educators and youth face increased stress, trauma, and despair caused by global pandemics, institutionalized racism, and a lack of mindfulness. The Thrive Learning Coaching Program exists to address these challenges and empower educators and their students to show up as their best selves each day. By equipping them with mindfulness practices, coping strategies, and inclusive coaching techniques, we enable educators to manage their own well-being while nurturing a new generation of leaders.

Our program focuses on mindfulness, self-awareness, resilience, belonging and inclusion practices, providing immediate tools for educators and youth to navigate the demands for social change. Through this process, participants uncover and release bias, develop a sense of belonging, and create a compassionate community within the educational environment. No one is left behind as we foster an understanding of diverse perspectives and empower responsive actions.

At Thrive, our mission is to equip participants with mindfulness practices that regulate the nervous system, dismantle harm and learned stress reactions, and develop resilience and coping skills. We prepare educators and youth to activate systemic change from within by combining mindfulness, awareness, resilience, and inclusive action. By gaining self-awareness, compassion, and empathy, participants can apply their knowledge in diverse settings and create a holistic and collaborative model of instruction and management.

Our core values guide our programming, emphasizing the importance of mindfulness, self-awareness, resilience, and anti-discriminatory pedagogy. We believe that global change starts with these principles, and through our mindful programming, we provide educators with the opportunity to put these values into practice. By being mindful, self-aware, resilient, and inclusive, participants feel empowered to become the change they seek.

Why Thrive?

[Student] told me how powerful yesterday’s Thrive [session] was. Thank you so much for you, Meghan and Trevor for such a much-needed space. I hope you do it again next year. It takes a lot if courage and commitment to work with teens and it is so helpful to have another adult to give perspective and ideas. You three are awesome
